It is important that we inform you what personal data is collected when you use our website and our products, how it is processed and what rights you have in this respect. In the following data protection information, we summarise this information for you.

2. Your rights as a data subject

Right to information (Art. 15(1) GDPR)

You have the right to be informed by our data protection department of the categories of data stored, the purpose of the processing, the recipients, the expected storage period and your right to information. If your personal data is not collected directly from you, you have the right to be informed about the origin of the data.

Right of rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)

You have the right to request rectification and/or completion of your data if the personal data processed about you is inaccurate or incomplete.

Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)

You have the right to ask us to delete your personal data. The data will be deleted immediately if you so wish. In some cases, however, your data cannot be deleted. This is the case if they are still required for an active contract. Furthermore, data cannot be deleted if legal retention periods or conflicting interests prevent this. In this case, however, the processing of your data for other purposes can be restricted.

Right to restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR)

You may contact us regarding a restriction on processing, where any of the following apply:

  • You have challenged the accuracy of the data and wish us to stop using it for the period of time required for final verification.
  • The processing is unlawful, but you do not want erasure, you prefer limitation of processing instead.
  • We no longer need this data and would delete it, however, it is still necessary to assert, exercise or defend legal rights.
  • You have objected to the processing of the data, however this is still being checked.

In the event of a restriction, we will ensure that the personal data can no longer be processed or altered. If the restriction of processing has been obtained in accordance with the above conditions, you will be informed by the controller before the restriction is lifted.

Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)

You have the right to obtain the personal data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and, if necessary, to transmit it to third parties.

The right to data portability does not apply to the processing of personal data necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller.

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)

You have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data by us on the basis of a "legitimate interest" (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); this also applies to profiling based on these provisions.

We will then no longer process your personal data, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or if the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

You may object to the processing of data for direct marketing purposes at any time without having to state the reasons. If you object to the processing for direct marketing purposes, your personal data will no longer be processed for these purposes.

To exercise your right to object, you must notify us, as the data controller, of your objection. In some cases, you can do this directly online (e.g. for cookies) or via your IONOS customer interface (e.g. with regard to advertising contacts). You can also notify your data protection requirements (e.g. your objection) directly via confidentialite@ionos.fr by contacting the person responsible.

Right to revocation (art. 7, par. 3 GDPR)

You have the right to withdraw any consent you have already given (for example, to be contacted for advertising purposes) with effect for the future.

If you are already a customer, you can also make your own revocation in the control panel via your customer interface.

You can revoke your consent to the processing of data by cookies at any time here.

If you wish to exercise any of your rights above, please write to us at confidentialite@ionos.fr  and we will process your request as soon as possible.

Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR)

You also have the right at any time to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.

When you visit our website, we also collect personal data. This includes data that we collect when you order something from us, but also data that is collected when you visit our websites or our social network profiles. The details are explained below.

In the event that IONOS Ltd. transfers data to third countries, appropriate safeguards for the transfer of data are agreed with the processors or controllers in accordance with the requirements of Chapter V of the GDPR, or adequacy decisions of the European Commission will be used.

Links to social networks

Links to social networking platforms are integrated in such a way that no data is transferred directly to the social network operator. The integration on our web pages is done through direct links. A data transfer only takes place once you have clicked on the link.

Video content

YouTube and Vimeo

We include videos on our website. The content of these videos is stored directly on the platforms and integrated into our site. If you access such a video, the IP address, technical information such as browser, operating system and basic device information, as well as the website you visited are communicated. In addition, we have integrated YouTube videos in a data protection compliant manner in the "extended data protection mode".

Personal data is only transferred once you have called up a video. Only then is a connection to the YouTube and Vimeo server established and a corresponding cookie is used to save your settings. By calling up the videos, you leave our space and access the external platforms of YouTube and Vimeo, which are beyond our control.

Before accessing a video, you will be informed again. If you have an account with the video service provider, they may be able to identify you. You can avoid this by logging out of your account before starting a video.

Legal basis

The legal basis for the activation of these videos is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR which is linked to your consent to the use of a cookie (cookie page).
